Regular Club Meeting
The Tennessee Association of Woodturners usually meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month. The meeting starts at 7:00PM, but you are encouraged to arrive early to interact with the members and guests and to check out the club resources.
We normally meet at the gymnasium on the campus of The Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home in Brentwood, TN.
Saturday Turning & Learning Sessions
We hold a hands-on Turning & Learning session every month for our membership. At these Turning and Learning sessions, we gather together as to share, assist and enjoy the company of our fellow members. The sessions are open to all members and are oriented toward mentoring, skill development and fun.
The Turning & Learning sessions are usually held the Saturday following the monthly TAW meeting. We begin at 8:00AM and wrap up at 1:00PM. In these five hours, there is plenty of time for you to get questions answered, tool technique tips and even a few pointers on sharpening. Some of our members have completed their first turning projects at these sessions!
The sessions are held at the TBCH Woodshop. This woodshop is our own little turning oasis that we are lucky enough to have been given complete access. The woodshop is located at the southeast corner of the TBCH Campus in the commissary and auto repair building.

From the North:
Enter Nashville on Interstate 65 continuing south through Nashville using the marked Huntsville route. Exit at Exit 71 off of I65, this is the Brentwood/Concord Road exit, turn right, travel about .6 miles to the traffic light where Concord Road ends into Franklin Road. At the light make a left turn and you will see the stone entrance to our campus .6 miles south on the left side of Franklin Road.
From the South:
Traveling on Interstate 65, going north toward Nashville take exit 71 – this is the Brentwood/Concord Road exit – Turn right onto Concord Road. Go about .6 miles to the traffic light where Concord Road ends into Franklin Road. Turn left, going south on Franklin Road, you will see the stone entrance .6 miles on the left.
From the West:
Traveling on interstate 40 coming from the west, take the 440 by-pass toward Knoxville to the Interstate 65 south exit. This is marked Huntsville route. Travel south on 65 to exit 71 – Brentwood/Concord Road exit – Follow instructions from above.
From the East:
Traveling on Interstate 40 coming from the east take the 440 by-pass toward Memphis and Huntsville. At the 440 exchange with Interstate 65 south, follow the Huntsville traffic south on 65 to exit 71 – Brentwood/Concord Road exit – Exit to the right and follow the directions above.
