- Woodchuck Lathe ToolsYour Woodchuck Rougher is a tool designed by Kenneth Ferrell a Machinist and former Machine Tool Technology Instructor, who also enjoys wood turning, Carbide tooling has been the standard in machine shops for decades, but the grain structure of that grade of carbide and the angles that were available didn’t work well with wood.
- Carter Products – Keith Burns. The patent pending, made in the USA, hollow roller system is a captive bar tool for safely turning hollow forms and bowls. The bar is completely captive, which allows the operator to focus on the work and art of the vessel being turned. It incorporates a fully sealed bearing, lubrication free roller system that eliminated drag on the bar, enabling a smoother flowing motion.
- Century Tree Turnings– Mike Smith and Sean Donahue. All turning blocks are 100% waxed with paraffin and/or candle wax, which severely limits moisture loss, especially thru the end grain. All wood is generally processed as soon as possible after being harvested so it is best to assume all wood be considered green. However, due to the nature of the spalting process, spalted wood will most likely be partially air dried.
